Eileen Lawres

Eileen was born on August 19, 1934 in Rainy River, Ontario to Herman and Anna Karpinen. Eileen was united in marriage to Steve Lawres on August 25, 1956 and together they raised two boys, Wayne and James. She worked in the office of the Ontario-Minnesota Pulp and Paper Company after graduation. Eileen also obtained her LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) degree. After raising her family, Eileen worked at Family and Children’s Services as a respite worker for many years until retirement.

She is survived by her husband Steve; son Wayne and partner John of Winnipeg; brother Herman Karpinen and Judy of Fort Frances; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents and son James

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
