Enid Barbara Coran

Barb was born on February 20, 1935 in Fort Frances, ON to Louis and Elsie Carpenter. She lived in Fort Frances all her life. She worked as a nanny for George Armstrong for many years. She was an active and longtime member of St. John’s Anglican Church. She was married to Rudolf Coran on April 28, 1984 and settled into her role as wife and homemaker.

She was predeceased by her husband Rudolf on January 9, 2006; parents Louis and Elsie; siblings Gloria, Cynthia, Angela, Bernard and Joy.

Barb leaves behind her sister Brenda and husband Tom Haney of Fort Frances; brothers in law James Briggs of International Falls, MN, Ray Coran of Fort Frances and Sisters in law Tony Edgett of Fort Frances, ON and Olympia (Joe) Benassi of International Falls, MN as well as numerous nieces, nephews and the Coran Family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church with Father Musonda Abel Ng’ andwe officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.

The pallbearers will be Brian Briggs, Kim Metke, Michael Coran, Perry Trask, John Briggs and Richard Perron.

The honourary pallbearers will be Evelyn Metke, Sarah Gervais, Karen Haney and Teresa Gustafson.
