Jacqueline Armande Marie Csik, 76, of Fort Frances, ON Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Riverside Hospital in Fort Frances, ON.

Jacquie was born on November 9, 1944 in Regina Saskatchewan to George and Rose Anne Samoila. She grew up in Prince Albert, SK moving to Fort Frances at the age of 17 she attended nursing school, graduating in 1964. While at school she met her husband Elmer and they were united in marriage on April 24, 1965. In 1966 they welcomed their first child, Greg and rounded out their family with the birth of Nicole in 1972. She worked as a nurse until her daughter was born. Years later she worked as a dental assistant before joining the local schools where she worked as an education assistant for many years. Jacquie loved to stay busy so after retiring from the school she worked at Tim Hortons for several years. In the 1980’s she taught aerobics and even had her own show on the local cable channel. She loved to bake and shared her treats with family and friends. She had a lovely sense of humor. She was a proud cancer survivor of 32 years.

She will be greatly missed by her children Greg and Nicole, her sidekick Bella Rose, siblings Mercedes (Bob) Hyggen , Giselle (Dwight) Krause and George Samoila; Sister in laws Christine Samoila and Norma Csik. Brothers in law Leonard Cantin and Sam Duce, Wendy Duce, Tori and Chris, numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her “Fort Frances Family”, Tammy, Chris, Adien, Davis and Ben Wielinga, Pat Leishman, Elizabeth, Dale and Isabelle Fortes, Marlene Wilson, and Sheree Jewell, Delores VanCauwenberg and Angele Robichaud.

Jacquie was predeceased by her parents George & Rose Anne, husband Elmer, sisters Carmen Cantin, Mary Rose Huyghebaert, brother Pete Samoila, sister-in-law Janice Mills, brothers in law Steven & John, nephews Bradley Huyghebaert, Graham Krause and infant Evan Hyggen and special aunt Therese St. Pierre. A wonderful lifelong friend Linda Kaye. Also, her beloved Chloe Belle.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
