Joseph Peter JP Melrose

Joseph was born on Thursday, August 25, 1988 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a fun, loving, gentle and kind young man. He loved to laugh, smile and always enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Joseph always made time for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Brittany Spears was his favourite artist. Play any song of hers and he was up dancing. He loved the color of green and loved to take selfies. Joseph was always there to listen when you needed to talk or just get a hug.

Joseph will be sadly missed by his mother Alma Melrose, and his siblings, Nerissa, Angus (Kendra), Dustin, Zach Jim (Melrose), Anthony Mohammad and Vanessa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his father Angus Jean-Paul Merasty, his paternal grandparents Marie-Adele and Joseph Merasty, and maternal grandparents Peter and Mary Melrose (Whitecrow)

A funeral wake will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 3:00 pm at the Seine River First Nation Gymnasium.

A traditional burial ceremony will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Seine River First Nation Gymnasium. Gilbert Smith will officiate followed by burial in the Seine River First Nation Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Gabriel Merasty, Ernest Merasty, Angus Melrose, Dustin Melrose, Isaac Merasty and Zach Jim (Melrose).
