

Lou was born on May 12, 1920, in Emo, Ontario to Fred and Margaret Doman.
Lou was married to Mac Lougheed on October 28, 1939, who predeceased her on October 22, 1990. They were a well known couple in the District, involved in many community events especially curling and Kiwanis.
Lou lived in the Rainy River District all of her life except for the years between 1939 and 1945 when she and Mac resided in Thunder Bay.
Lou was a member of and had many friends in the Lady Kiwanians, the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Hospital Auxiliary, the TOPS club and her very special G.G. Group. She was an adherent to Knox United Church.
Lou is survived by her daughter Judy and husband Don MacMaster of Whitby, Ontario and their family, granddaughter, Lori and John Snowden of New Market, Ontario and their children Lindsay and Mitchell, and grandson, Jeff MacMaster of Port Perry, Ontario. Granddaughter Carol and her husband Jim Leo, of Newcastle, Ontario and their children, Serena and Liam.
Lou is also survived by her sister-in-law Lorna Irwin of Red Deer, Alberta, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews of both the Doman and Lougheed families.
Lou will be fondly remember by Gordon and Sandra Williams and their family, special niece Bette Sue and her husband Tom Kenny and their family, Harry and Dorothy Jones and their family.
Lou was predeceased by her daughter Jackolyn Haskins, her sister Edna (Bert) Brown, her brothers, Gordon (Boye) Doman, Charlie (Jan) Doman, Everett (Marg) Doman.
Honourary Pallbearers will be Lou’s family and friends.
A Celebration of Lou`s life will be held on Friday June 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home with Father Wayne McIntosh officiating.
