Nellie was born on November 4, 1926 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to the late Frederick and Mary Haver. Along with her parents and 5 brothers, she spent her younger years growing up in Mullvihill and Eriksdale, MB. In 1947 the family moved to farm in Crozier. As a young woman she met her soulmate Harley and they were united in marriage on June 24, 1952 and settled in to her role as wife and mother. Although Nellie enjoyed some travelling, sightseeing and adventures with her family, she preferred to be at home, spending her days gardening, tending to her flowers and crocheting. She loved her visits from friends and family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Often our visits with (mom, mommy, Gramma JJ), would turn into giggle fests and silliness, we will truly miss our time with her.
She leaves behind her daughters Valmarie (Loren) Jantzen, Evelyn Sletmoen (Gord McQuarrie) and Harlene (Dane) Lowey; grandchildren Candace (Marko) Litwinenko, Trista (Mike) Davis, Christina (Jason) Campagna, Benjamin Sletmoen (Chelsey), Dayna, Rebecca and Matthew Lowey; great grandchildren Nicholas, Owen, Dylan, Alyster, Isabella, Lilianna, Rino and Giovanni; brother Ronald Haver; nephew Abby (June) Haver; niece June (Bruce) Haver; sisters-in-law Erna Haver and Irene Hill-Haver.
Nellie was predeceased by her parents; husband Harley; brothers Arnold, Leonard, Norman and Edward Haver and sister-in-laws Marie, Alma and Elvera Haver.
