

It is with profound sadness that the family of Rolene Spencer announces the passing of our Mother, Sister and Auntie. Rolene passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario with her family attending by her side.
She leaves behind her cherished son Travis Spencer of Winnipeg, MB, her sisters Janet (Warren) Williams of Fort Frances, ON, Pat (Don) Venne of Emo, ON, brother Archie (Darlene) Hogan of Thunder Bay, ON and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rolene was born in Rainy River to Jenny and Leo Hogan on Tuesday, May 28, 1946. She was raised in Atikokan and there she met the love of her life Tracy Spencer and soon they were married. They later moved to Crozier. Rolene trained to become a nurse and she began working at LaVerendrye Hospital. She worked there for many years and made many friends and touched the lives of many people. After retirement she joined the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being part of the Honour Guard and cherished the friendships she made.
A celebration of Rolene’s life was held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 in Fort Frances with Mr. Archie Hogan officiating.
