Sharon Gail Plourde

Sharon was born in Fort Frances on September 28th, 1937 to Henry and Stella Dick, and lived there all her life.

Sharon was united in marriage July 25, 1959 to Edward Ulric “Ed” Plourde and they lived a full life together for over 36 years prior to his passing January 29, 1996.

Sharon was a dedicated and loving mother to her three sons Brian (Heather), children Bobby and Jessica of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Blair (Tracey Booth), Todd (Lisa), children Courtney, Brodie and Abby and her chosen daughter Kathy Lawson (Paul), children Stephanie Wrolstad (Todd), their children Teagan and Linkin, all of Fort Frances and Jennifer Seegert (Nathan), their children Kaedim and Nolan of International Falls, MN.

Also surviving is her sister-in-law Pearl DeGagne of Fort Frances, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly treasured friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry Ivan and Stella Almira Dick; brother Gary Dick, sister-in-law Linda Dick and Sister-in-law Rose Marie Ireton.

Sharon had worked part time at home as a hairdresser while her children were young and later worked for Gagne’s Pharmacy. In addition she loved volunteering for the LaVerendrye General Hospital Auxiliary and Rainycrest Home For The Aged.

Funeral services for Sharon will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Father Victor DeGagne will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Sharon’s pallbearers will be Michael DeGagne, Randy DeGagne, Luke Schill, Paul Lawson, Todd Wrolstad and Nathan Seegert.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to LaVerendrye General Hospital Auxiliary, 110 Victoria Avenue, Fort Frances, Ontario, P9A 2B7.
