Anna Shervington Murray

Anna Murray (Jakes), age 82, passed away due to natural causes on January 21, 2021 in Sunrise, Florida. Anna Murray was born on October 28, 1938 in Port Antonio, Jamaica to parents, Roy and Hattie Jacobs. She graduated from Dinthill Technical High School in Jamaica. In the late 1960's, she moved to the Bronx, NY. In 1976, she moved to Florida and accepted a position as a credit analyst at American Express, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Anna Murray is survived by her sons/daughters in law, Paul (Yolanda), Brian (Christine), Ian (Kathia); brother, Kenneth Jacobs (Gloria); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hattie Jacobs; husband, George Murray; and brother, Errol Jacobs.

Anna Murray was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married George Murray in 1975 and had 3 sons. Anna was called "Jakes" by all of her close friends. Anna Murray was a social, active woman who enjoyed spending time with family. She enjoyed the casino, cruises and cooking. Her family and friends will always remember her as the life of the party.

A funeral is scheduled for Anna Murray on February 6, 2021 at 4:30PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Anna Murray's life.
