Missionary Daisy Pearl Haynes, 71, went home to glory May 22, 2011 with her family at her bedside. She was born June 30, 1939 in Alachua, Florida to James and Caleitha Smith. At a young age her parents moved to Jamesburg, New Jersey where she was raised.
Daisy went to school in Monroe Township and graduated from Woodbridge Vocational School for nursing. She married Joeliah Haynes on March 12, 1958 and to this union five children were born. She went on to work at MCEOC (Headstart) as a teacher assistant for over 20 years but her most important job was raising her five children.
Daisy was brought to church as a child and first attended Old Ship of Zion Church near Jamesburg. The family then moved their church membership to Sharon Baptist Church in New Brunswick. In 1986, she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal and indwelling Savior in Holiness Temple Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Elaine A. Brown. Daisy became a faithful, devoted, loving and caring member of the body of Christ. She was very active in the Sunday School department and was a powerful prayer warrior. She was a member of the Women's Missionary Society, for she was very concerned about the souls of men. She also served on the Pastor's Aide Committee and was a dedicated Usher. Daisy was looking forward to the new church and her last request was that her building fund pledge be paid for the completion of the new church, because of her strong conviction for the missionary work to continue. She will be R.I.H. (Rejoicing in Heaven) at the completion of the new church, which she always said, "It is a great missionary work. Her favorite saying was, "I love Jesus and this Gospel."

OUR LOVING MOTHER
Loving and kind in all her ways
Upright and just to the end of her days;
Sincere and true in her heart and mind,
A beautiful memory she left behind.
She had a nature you could not help loving
a heart that was purer than gold
And those who knew and loved her
Mommy's memory will never grow old.
Mother, your hands have guided us through the world
And your love has made it a beautiful place. Thanks
for all the wonderful years.
