

David Matthew Staiano, 61, passed away October 12, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. David was born December 16, 1962, in Syracuse, New York, to Beverly (Hallenbeck) and Anthony Staiano. In 2016, David married the love of his life, Ricky Salazar, and they settled in Tamarac, Florida. David worked in the aviation industry for over 40 years and he most recently worked as a flight attendant for JetBlue airlines.
David is survived by his loving husband, Ricky, and their two “best friends”, Dylan and Prince. David is also survived by his brother, John Staiano, of Syracuse. David is also survived by his extended family of in-laws: Ceci Di Carlo (mother-in-law); Uriel, Gabriel and Cisco (brother in-laws); and Shirly (sister inlaw).
David was preceded in death by his parents, and by his beloved grandmother, Vancy Ippoltio Staiano, who he lived with and from a very young age and with whom he had an extremely close bond.
David was an extraordinary human being with a large heart and compassion for everyone. He was extremely generous and would do anything for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
A mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, located at 1701 E Oakland Park Blvd, Oakland Park, FL 33334, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10 am. Later on the same day, there will be a Celebration of Life event at Hunters Nightclub, located at 2232-2238 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, FL 33305 from 12-2:30 pm.
