Rest in Peace, Ebony, or Coach Ebony. Your joyous attitude and dedication for having me prepare for the best will always be remembered. I was literally in tears after finding this out, and I felt nervous of saying something but I did. You have made me feel like I was at home when you worked at Holiday and I always felt comfortable with you. Thank you for being an amazing woman and enjoy your time in Heaven. There will never be a person like you.

You were more than a coworker 
and friend. You were my sister and an Aunt to my children. Oh the memories! I love you! I'm glad I was able to tell you! 

Dearest Eb; 
I'm rarely at a loss for words, but you've really thrown me this time. I keep seeing your face, your smile, and hearing your voice and your laughter. If I'd only known the last time I saw you would be the last time I'd see you, I would've held on to you longer.  You were living for being well again, for your greatest loves; your son, grandson & furbaby. I had no doubt that someday we'd be old ladies, & still laughing about the craziness & freak experiences we survived. We couldve written a book on the things we saw there. We went through so much together. We went through so much apart. We didn't get dealt the easiest hands in life, but we dealt with the hands we were given. We bonded over that and our other commonalities very early on. Working together so long made us family. You were absolutely a model of strength. I am going to be stronger, for you, I have to. I owe us both that now.
You are dearly loved and very sorely missed by so many, I'm sure you know that. I'd ask you to please check in on all of us that are feeling the weight of such a loss, but I believe you will.
I love you and miss you. This world definitely will not be the same without you.

As a co-worker and friend:
Working at Lauderdale Manors Park from 2009-2011 while Ebony worked at the Elementary School next door. We use to always joke about her coming to work for Parks and Rec because she was always at the park helping any child that went to both the school and the park. She always distributed our program flyers and helped kids and parents get registered with a smile. Also her time working at Holiday park... her smile brightened up the room even on the cloudiest of days. Her customer service was unmatched, as she had answers for any and every question and even if she didn't she would work hard to find it. I will always remember her as a  "fighter" because she promised she would never give up. The entire Brown family will miss you dearly Eb. I'm just happy you can finally get some rest now.
