Edward was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to George Beshara Khaleel and Myrtle Khaleel (formerly Chambers) on March 12th, 1936. He married his wife, Sonya, on September 3rd, 1960, in Kingston, Jamaica. Edward was a hardworking business man and entrepreneur, who started and managed several business ventures throughout his life, to include gas stations and printing shops. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Edward was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, and most of all, dove hunting.
Edward is preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Myrtle Khaleel, as well as his brothers, Robert and Adolf (Bunny) Khaleel.
Edward is survived by his wife, Sonya, his four sons; Rory, Andrew, Philip, and David, his brother Richard, his sister Dawn, and his two grandchildren; Jaxon and Jenna.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 2401 SW 64th Ave. Ft. Lauderdale, FL. There will be a viewing from 10:00am – 12:00pm, with official service beginning at 12:00pm, and burial to follow at the same location.
