

Elizabeth A. Forest, 88, of Plantation, Florida passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Ware, Massachusetts on July, 28, 1935 to Osborne and Pearl (Grow) Davis. She married Fernando P. Forest on January 19, 1957. Elizabeth was a graduate of Belchertown High School.
Elizabeth is predeceased by a son; Jonathan David Forest, her parents Osborne and Pearl (Grow) Davis, and two brothers; Frank Davis and John Davis.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Fernando P. Forest; and her children and daughter-in-law. Francis and Catherine Forest of Deland, Florida; Elizabeth Forest of Montrose, Colorado; Kenneth Forest of Plantation, Florida; She is also survived by her in-laws Mary Davis, Robert and Dea Forest, and Georgette English of Massachusetts; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty took pride in the home she created with her husband and the lives of her children. She was known for her kindness, generosity and loving heart. No one entered her house without becoming extended family. She was the touchstone of the family, the keeper of the family memories. Although she lived in South Florida for over 50 years, she always thought of herself as a "stubborn Yankee" and never forgot her New England roots. Betty traveled the country over the years with her husband, and enjoyed exploring Colorado while visiting her daughter. She was an accomplished cross stitcher and took pleasure in crossword puzzles. Her cat, Gigi, brought her joy in her later years of life.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South ( Pyramid ), 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. A funeral service will take at 2:00 PM, with committal services following at 3:00 PM.
