

Elizabeth was born on February 7, 1952, in Long Island, Bahamas, to Wheatley and Lillian Sweeting. She attended Bahamas Academy in New Providence and later graduated from the College of The Bahamas. She married John Lewis Caldwell in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Elizabeth began her professional career as a Land Surveyor and Land Researcher with the Lands and Surveys Department of the Bahamian government, where she served for six years. She later transitioned into education, where she found her true calling as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher, dedicating over 20 years to nurturing and guiding students.
She was a devoted member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and actively participated in the "Women Closer to God" club. Throughout her career, Elizabeth was honored with numerous accolades, including multiple Teacher of the Month awards, recognizing her passion and dedication to education.

• Her brother: Junior “Duce” Sweeting

• Her sisters: Linda Sweeting Gibson and Stephanie Sweeting
She is survived by:
• Her daughter: Misty Caldwell-Morgan (Jason Morgan)
• Her grandson: Maximus Morgan
• Her sisters: Terry Sweeting and Vivian Jerry
• Her brothers: Nelson Sweeting and Anthony Sweeting
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Fred Hunter's Funeral Home.
The family of Elizabeth Ann Sweeting extends heartfelt thanks to Olson Middle School, Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, and the many relatives and close friends who offered their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Child Care Food Program, ESE at Olsen Middle School, or Women in Distress
