Esther Clair Harrell, former beauty queen (Miss Miami Beach 1954), has died at age 89. She was a longtime resident of Hollywood, Florida, and was passionate about local politics, environmental causes, and animal rescue. She is survived by her four children: Sharon Taylor, Susan Harrell-Gordon, Valerie Harrell, and Samuel Harrell. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and her German Shepherd "Pepper." The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the staff at NSPIRE Healthcare in Plantation, Florida, where they cared for her dearly. She will be remembered for her local contributions, her unique sense of humor, and an infectious smile.
