He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Edelman, sister Harriet White, son Douglas Edelman and granddaughter Lauren Piper Laing.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Alice Edelman, his daughter Valerie Laing (Thomas), son Kenneth Edelman, granddaughter Brooke Laing ( Dave ), stepchildren Kenneth Fisher (Sara) , Steve Fisher ( Cheryl) Sharon Socherman (Jerry), brother Lenny (Dori) and many nieces, nephews and other grandchildren.
He attended The George School in Pennsylvania , graduated from the University of Miami, and obtained his Juris Doctor from Temple University. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict.
A private graveside service was held Saturday August 5, 2023 followed by a luncheon for family and friends at the Plantation Preserve.
