Ira Elliot Jaffe

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at https:/Ira Elliot Jaffe, 76, of Margate, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2023.

Ira was born in Paterson, NJ to Shirley Sicherer and Walter Jaffe on March 24, 1946. Ira spent his career as a plumber in New Jersey and Florida. Throughout Ira’s life he enjoyed riding his bicycle and motorcycle, fishing, shooting guns and playing cards. He started the South Florida Riders Club in 1996 which grew to be the largest motorcycle club in Florida.

Ira will be lovingly remembered by his partner and best friend, Linda Leeds, his two sons Neil and Garrett (Sophie), his daughter Wendi Higgins (Bobby), a brother David (Louise) and a sister Linda (Michele Lanese). Ira loved his nephew, nieces, and many cousins. Ira was most proud of his 7 grandchildren: Anistasia, Robert, Samuel, Averli, Trevor, Evan and Henry.

The family welcomes memorial contributions made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A celebration of life will take place at a future time.
