

A child of God was Born on Thursday, August 3, 1950, and went with God on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the young age of seventy. His birth parents are both deceased; Adela Miranda and Ismael Rodriguez. Juana Ahorrio and Jose Ahorrio are also deceased were instrumental family figures in his upbringing and young adult life. As an adult, he had fond childhood memories of summer camp. This included swinging on vines, rock climbing at Central Park, making paper kites for his siblings and, using his bicycle basket to provide rides to his siblings and he also liked to catch animals. These fond memories paved the way for the way he lived his life.
This child of God married his late wife Aurora Encarnacion Rodriguez, who also went with God just fourteen days before his passing. Together, they had six children that meant the world to both parents. Lissette Rodriguez was their firstborn, she has two of their grandchildren; Lissette Denise Vasquez and Ronald Joseph Tefteller Jr. Their second born was Joanna Rodriguez-Esquilin, who has one of their grandchildren; Christopher Jonathan Lopez. Their third born was Ismael Rodriguez III, with one of their grandchildren; Alexis Marie Rodriguez. Their fourth born was Adela Rodriguez with two of their grandchildren; Samantha Marie Fernadez and Tatiana Lee Fernadez. Their fifth born was Israel Rodriguez with three of their grandchildren; Kasia Rodriguez, Lily Aurora Rodriguez, and Liam Israel Maximino Rodriguez. Their sixth born was Rafael Rodriguez with one of their grandchild Rafael Joshua Rodriguez Jr. His proudest family moments included the birth of his children, graduations, and their achievements. They also had two great-grandchildren born to Lissette Denise Vasquez; Kaylee-Ann Rose Rivera and Kayden Liam Perez. He is also survived by his Son-in-laws Justo Esquilin and Martin Fernandez and, daughter-in-laws Yalile Raquel Rodriguez and Kathleen Elizabeth Rodriguez. The list of surviving friends and family will be too much to list but know that he loved every one of you.
His love of animals paved the way to forty-one years as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician, which began in 1976. He retired from his job in New York City at the age of 62. He received a length of service and milestone award for his work and, this was one of many accomplishments. His accomplishments included the reaffirmation, of his relationship with God, on April 2, 2017, he was baptized in the Pentecostal church. He was also recognized by Vision 2020 for his church service.
This child of God enjoyed playing dominos, riding a bike, reading, and listening to his favorite songs, which are "You're So Vain and Elusive Butterfly." He also loved the color brown, was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, a friend, and a leader, this child was named Ismael Miranda Rodriguez. "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace" (Numbers 6:24-26). Rest in peace daddy!
