Joan Blackledge Norman, 86, passed away November 21, 2017. She is predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart, Donald H. Norman. She is survived by her daughter, Carol L. Norman, sisters Claire Dauphin (Texas) and Barbara Restle (Indiana).
Joan was born in Baden bei Wien, Austria on February 28, 1931, where her father worked as a CPA for an American company. Her parents returned to the US at the start of WWII, when she was 6 years old. She grew up in Teaneck, NJ where she met her future husband in High School. The married couple moved to South Florida on their honeymoon.
She was a pink lady at Broward General Hospital, Girl Scout leader and Church by the Sea active member for many years. She enjoyed various hobbies including travel, sailing, painting and needlecrafts.

The family will honor and commemorate Joan’s life in a private gathering.
