Jose Luis Martinez

Jose Luis Martinez (Joe), 69, passed away at his home in Tamarac, FL on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013. He was born on March 4th, 1944 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to the late Jose Martinez and to the late Luz Maria Rodriguez.

He served in the military for a few years prior to meeting, Mercedes Pantoja, who would later become his wife. Three children were born out of that bond: Jose L. Martinez, Jr., Mercedes Martinez (daughter), and Alberto Martinez. Later on in life around 1976, they joined the congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and served for many years up to this day. He worked as a computer analyst in the banking industry prior to retirement at age 62.

He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Martinez, of 45 years in addition to his 2 sons and daughter mentioned above. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: A.J. Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Monica Williams, Daniel Martinez, and Jamal Crawford; daughters-in-law: Jeanne Martinez, Ivelisse Martinez and Nichole Martinez; and brothers: Wilson Martinez and Jimmy Martinez along with nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services/Viewing will be held at: Kraeer Funeral Home located at 1 N. State Rd. 7 Margate, FL on Thursday, Sept. 26th, 2013 from 7pm-9pm.

Burial will be held at: South Florida National Cemetery at 651 S. State Rd. 7 Lake Worth, FL on Friday, Sept. 27th, 2013 at 1:15pm.
