

Josefa Luna is survived by her Son, Edward Luna, of Washington, DC; her Niece, Nancy Garrido, of Boca Raton, Florida. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Rolando Luna, of Oakland Park, Florida; her Son, Jorge Luna, of Oakland Park, Florida.
Josefa Luna was born on May 29, 1928 in Santiago, Cuba, to parents Nazario Nicieza and Josefa de Nicieza.
She married Rolando Luna in July 22, 1950 and the couple had two children together.
She enjoyed her home, caring for people both young and old, adding a dog or two into the mix.
In her young adulthood she was adventurous and a political activist. In time her energies were fully dedicated to her family both in the US and abroad, grandchildren and the many children of others that she cared for. She also enjoyed going to church, singing, dancing, feeding company, taking long walks and going to new places. She loved both her native Cuba and her adopted homeland.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1701 E Oakland Park Blvd, Oakland Park, Florida 33334 with a Viewing to follow at :
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South, 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317. Father Michael O”Flaherty will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate. Josefa Luna’s life.
