Joseph P. Taravella Jr.

Joseph P. Taravella Jr., of Coral Springs, FL, born June 14, 1949, son of late Florence and Joseph Philip Taravella Sr. went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2020. Joe is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Sandy Taravella; brother, Mark Taravella; son, John; daughters, Jamie, Cazzie, and Leah; and grandchildren, Jacob, Skylar, Dakota, Brooke, Samantha, and Harper. Joseph graduated from Mississippi State University and was an avid college football fan. Joe worked for Coral Ridge Properties for 25 years. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, and watching his children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved Marco Island and always invited both friends and family to join the vacation. Joe adored his family dearly and he loved interacting with people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere. He had the heart to help others especially his family and never hesitated to lend a hand to a stranger, fill a gas tank, or effortlessly give money to a friend or family member in need. He did his best to be a Godly example to his family by being a good dad and a loving husband. He faced challenging health battles late in life, but his whole family supported and encouraged him through it all, they stood by his side. And today again they stand as One, loving and supporting Joe as he enters the pearly gates of heaven. A visitation for Joe will be held at Broward Burial and Cremation, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306 on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4:30-8 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 6:30 pm.
