YOU ARE OUR FATHER
We will not look at this as a goodbye
We will not allow the sorrow of this
Event to destroy us
We will embrace what you have taught
us through the year and carry that with us
You have not died, you will forever
be a part of our life
and through us you will forever live
We are proud to have had you in our life
We hope to instill your charm, your
good nature and your charisma.
You have raised us to the best of
yours ability, for that we want
to thank you.
Thank you for being kind, thank you
for being stronger than you know
and most of all, thank you for loving us.
You have inspired us to live life to
the fullest, and never back down
We will not be taken over by anger
And frustration of your loss
Instead, we will remember the days
When we was young and you were
our hero.
We will see you in our dreams
There you will forever be healthy and
strong
In time, we hope to embrace your freedom
Freedom from the pain and freedom
from the weight of your illness.
Sorrow is certain, but we will face this
with the same courage you did, because
we are you, and you are our Father
Always your children,
Diane, Charles W, Charles P, Joseph J & Joe Willie
Reflection of a loving husband
Our Father, Our Friend
My Dad…
The day “You” came into our lives
it was a sweet Surprise,
you brighten our smiles and
love was in our Mother’s Eyes.
And through the years we understood
the meaning of sweat and tears,
with hard working hands
we got to explore different
worlds and other lands.
As we got grown we went out
On our own, leaving you “Papa Clyde”
And Mama at home. And thru the years
you stood proud and strong
Our Dad, Our Papa was No rolling stone.
He took care of his for 46 years, with
LOVE, SWEAT & TEARS.
And then, our “Big Papa Clyde” got tired.
The doctor and specialist searched and
looked but could not see
a cure that wasn’t meant to be.
So God whispered and said,
“COME TO ME” with tears in our eyes
We watched and prayed but in our hearts
That dreadful day. We said our good byes
As you slip away, hoping and praying for another day!
Now there is one footprint
In the sand, when there were
two you should understand,
So hold on to God unchanging
and, Be patient with LOVE
and let GOD show you his plan
always your loving son NuNu (Charles P)
