Katherine L. Masi

Katherine Masi (née Palo) of Fort Lauderdale peacefully passed away on 10/31/17 at the age of 99 with family by her side. Born in Sharpsville, PA, to Socci and Beatrice Palo, she was the eldest of 6 siblings; Anne, Mary, Nancy, Jimmy, and Tony. She met the love of her life Peter Masi at a young age and they were happily married for over 60 years. Katherine and Peter had two beautiful daughters Dolores and Kathleen and many grandchildren. Peter passed away in 1998 and Kathleen in 2001. Katherine can now rest in peace with Peter and her daughter Kathleen both of whom she has missed for many years.

Katherine truly enjoyed spending time with her family, frequently cooking up amazing Italian dishes and bringing the family together for dinners, holidays and celebrations. She had a successful career in real estate and was strong and independent well into her mature years. Kate loved tending to her home and garden every day as the sun rose and enjoyed staying busy as a positive influence in her family, church, and community.

She is survived by her brother Tony Palo, daughter Dolores Josack; Son-in-law Wendell Tedder; Son-in-law William Mock; Grandchildren Jesse & Spencer Mock; Grandchildren Robert, Kenny, and Derek Josack and many Great Grandchildren and even Great-Great Grandchildren!

Viewing on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 11:00AM -12:30PM. Service will be 12:30PM - 1:30PM followed by Entombment where she will be laid next to Peter in the Pyramid.
