Lillian M. Verna

She was born on August 31, 1923, in Windber, Pennsylvania and also lived later at Indian Lake, PA prior to moving to the Fountainhead Condominium Building in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, where she lived for 30 years and was active in committees.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail (Verna) Cover and her husband, Richard, of Rochester, MI, Karen Q. Verna, wife of son James (deceased) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Brian Cover and wife, Janet V. Cover of Oak Park, CA), Andrew Verna, and Melissa (Verna) McNulty and husband, Andrew McNulty of Tampa, FL, and great-grandsons, Dylan, 11, of Oak Park, CA and Luke, 6, of Tampa, FL.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, George Kanas and Susan (Hadzima) Kanas, of Windber, Pennsylvania, her husband, Andrew, of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and son, James, of Rochester, NY.

Lillian's funeral service will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 N. Ocean Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL on Thursday, May 11, 2023, 11:00am, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will take place in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kraeer - Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale.
