Margaret P. Roettger

Roettger, Margaret P., age 77 of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away on November 17th, 2014. Margaret was born on August 1, 1937 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Albert and Virginia (Sommersberger) Schroeder. She attended St. Anthony’s School in Fort Lauderdale and graduated in 1955 from Central Catholic High School. She also attended Elkhart Lake High School, in Wisconsin and received a diploma from both High Schools. Margaret united in marriage to Alfred W. Roettger in 1963. This union was blessed with two daughters, Lisa Marie (1964) and Michelle Lillian (1967). Margaret then pursued a career at Merrill Lynch after raising her two daughters. She retired in 2006 after a twenty year career.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alfred of 51 years, two children Lisa Marie Beck (Roettger) and her husband Roger Beck of Oakland Park, FL. Michelle Lillian Ballas (Roettger) and her husband John Ballas of Margate, FL. Grandchildren James Beck, Madison and Liam Ballas. Her brother Albert F. Schroeder and sister-in-law Ruth Schroeder of Orlando, FL. Her Aunt, Patricia Schroeder of Pompano Beach, FL. Many nieces and nephews as well as numerous other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert J. and Virginia Schroeder.

A celebration of life for Margaret will be held on December 6th, 2014 from 10am to 2pm with a prayer service at 2pm at Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home 4061 N. Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308.
