"Our Mother"
"Our Friend" and "Relative"

She loved Jesus. She was mostly the quiet one in the crowd. She and my Father raised three children (Michael, Marianne and Joseph) to respect others. As kids we were taught to play cards before we learned how to walk. She had to have her Canasta players! Each one of us learned the game early on in life.
My father worked with her brothers and that is how our parents met. We lived in Brooklyn until they decided to move to Oakdale on Long Island where some of her family moved. My father got a job in our uncle's Laundry.
She was the last of 8 children and she couldn't believe that she was the only one left after all these years. They had a hard life. Her mother died when she was 4 and her father remarried. Then her Father died a couple of years later. She and her sister, Anna, moved in with their other sister.
She lived for her Husband, Michele, and when he died, in 1994, she lived for her children.
She is survived by 2 children: Marianne and Joseph, Daughters in law: Deborah and Carol. Son-in-law: Ismael, 6 grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew, Shalane, Gabrielle, Nicolas and Jordan; 8 great grand-children: Sarah, Daniel, Tristan, Hunter, Grace, Nathan, Mason and Ryan.
Daddy and your son Michael greeted you at the Pearly Gates and we hope you join them to greet us. Rest in Peace.
