

Maria Luisa is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Tascon Guevara, of Cali, Colombia; her son, William Camacho, of Cali, Colombia; her son-in-law, Valmiro Tascon, of Cali, Colombia, her granddaughters, Ruth Lissa Rodriguez, Elizabeth Marisol Tascon, and Andrea Lynne Tascon, of Coral Springs, FL. Her grandson in-law, Michael Rodriguez and great grandchildren, Sofia Tascon, Gianna, Vanessa & Leonardo Rodriguez, of Coral Springs, FL, and her sisters, Maria Celizar Sandoval and Fabiola Jimenez of Cali, Colombia.
She is preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Manuel Ignacio Camacho, of Cali, Colombia; her first husband, Cenon Guevara, of Ibague, Colombia; and her sisters Florenia Castillo and Ines Arias, of Cali, Colombia.
Maria Luisa was born on September 30, 1929 in Ibague, Colombia, to parents Luis Carlos Martinez and Rosa Maria Martinez. In 1952, she moved to Cali, Colombia and worked as a Collaborator at Carvajal S.A., where she worked for more than 35 years and retired in 1998. She made life long friends there that she kept in contact with throughout her post-retirement years. In the year 2000 she permanently moved to Coral Springs, FL to be closer to her daughter and granddaughters. She was proud to became a US citizen in 2015 along with her son William.
Maria Luisa was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She married Cenon Guevara in 1945 and the couple had 1 daughter together, Elizabeth Tascon Guevara. She married Manuel Ignacio Camacho in 1985 and the couple had 1 son together, William Camacho. She was very close to her 4 sisters and lived her life in honor of the two sisters who passed before her.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, watching her telenovelas and doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had a compassionate heart for all animals as she regularly fed the neighborhood ducks. She took amazing care of all her pet dogs throughout her life, Trosky, Corso, Nino, Cooquina and Tuki and treated them all like her own children. Her family and friends will always remember her as a sweet, kind, generous, thoughtful, loving, affectionate and just person.
Padre Pedro Freitez will officiate the services. All are welcome to attend online and celebrate Maria Luisa’s life. Please contact the family if you would like to attend the memorial in person.
