Marie Tranquillia Souffrant, born on December 1, 1945 in Criox Des Bouquets, Haiti. Daughter of Sylvain Abellard and Eudoxie Tulien, has passed away peacefully on July 14, 2020 in Miami, Florida surrounded by her loved ones.
Tranquillia Souffrant, better known as “Majore” was a brave, sweet, kind and funny person. She was known for her outgoing personality. She lived her life with dignity and respect. She loved people and always made friends or acquaintances everywhere she went. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and cared for others. Majore was married to Victuel Souffrant for 48 years. To us, it may seem a lifetime but they loved and cared for one another in their own special ways. She gave birth to 3 daughters. She came to the US in the early 90s and have worked and retired from Publix. Majore was loved and will forever be missed. She possessed many qualities, but her strength will forever be remembered.
She was diagnosed with Dementia and other underlining conditions. She fought a long tough fight. Throughout those years, although she didn’t know or remembered much; you could see and sensed her fighting to overcome and remembering her children. There were good and bad days but she remained strong in the Lord. Although she would forget our names at times, but she always remembered gospel songs and bible verses. We wish we had more time with you but the Lord had a different plan in mind. May your sweet soul rest in peace now that you’re not suffering anymore!
She is survived by her husband Victuel who cared for her nights and days. Papa / grandpa, we can’t imagine the sorrow and void that is left with you. I thank God for the strength he has given you as it was not easy going through this battle. Continue to be strong and we love you and we will get through this together. She is survived by daughters: Yvrose and Myrtho Souffrant. Grandchildren: Destinee Williams, Jordan and Brigitte Boisson, Zarian Pierre, Vankermaury and Victormaury Souffrant. Siblings: Nicole Camille, Carmelle Camille and Charitabe Bedeau. Son in law: Jermain Pierre.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued love and support.
