Maryanna Campi, 94, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, beloved wife of Dr. Leonard T. Campi for 53 years, mother of Carolyn, Robert and Greg, died at her home on August 5, 2017. She devoted her life to serving country and family – as a corporal in the WAC in WWII, then as a secretary for the Foreign Service in Yokohama, Japan and later in Garmisch, Germany. In 1954 on July 4, she married her true love and together they raised their family in Red Bank, NJ. She was the keystone of that family, supporting it with her quiet strength, sublime grace and unqualified courage to her last breath. Soft-spoken, she lived by example. Her passing marks the end of a truly meaningful life, but her inspiration and spirit live on in her children, grand-children, Rebecca and Ross Rosell and Michelle Campi, and her surviving sister, Emily Ciampini, - and in all those whose lives she touched.
In lieu of floral offerings, please kindly consider donations in Maryanna's memory to the Monmouth County SPCA, monmouthcountyspca.org.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 at St. James Catholic Church in Red Bank, NJ. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in First Presbyterian Church, Shrewsbury.
