

Maud Gonzalez 71, beloved mother of 4, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2017 at her home surrounded by her daughters. Maud was born on September 27, 1945, in Lima, Peru, and was the daughter of Demetrio Gonzalez and Lucila Rodriguez.
Maud was a devoted mother who made many sacrifices for her daughters and was a role model to them. She gave herself fully to her daughters who were the true love of her life.
Maud pursued her goals of achieving her higher education degrees after she was able to provide her four daughters with the support they needed to achieve theirs. She achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University in 2001 and her Master's Degree in Business Administration with Specialization in Health Care Management from University of Phoenix in 2008. She also worked for 27 years for Metro Dade Transit as the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Administrator of the Special Transportation Service program.
Maud was very passionate about both her family and her work. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and friends, being at the beach, watching movies, keeping up with politics and sewing outfits for her daughters and grandchildren.
Maud was a member of Saint Gregory Catholic Church in Plantation, FL. She is survived by her four daughters, Miriam Celi, Lucila Lynfatt, Patricia Cuadra, and Giulianna Nguyen, her four grandchildren, Antonio Celi, Christina Celi, Sofia Cuadra, and Dylan Nguyen, her soon to be born granddaughter, Melody Lynfatt, her sisters, Luz Gonzalez-Torres, Sabina Gonzalez, and her brother, Daniel Gonzalez. She also leaves behind numerous friends and relatives who loved her very much.
A memorial service for Maud is being held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home South located in 2401 Davie Road, Davie, FL 33317. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
