Maye Douzable was born in Pestel, Haiti on October 16, 1932. On Thursday February 2, 2017, Maye Douzable, 84, passed away and the Lord called his angel home to rest. She was hard working as a midwife and was a strong woman with a gentle temperament. Maye was always going out of her way to help people, especially her grandchildren. She may have been small in stature but she did everything she could in order to make the lives of others easier. Even when she got sick, Maye never complained and she always kept on going.
She leaves to cherish her two daughters, Irlande Gilles, Yolette Douzable, and one son Wenceslas Douzable and daughter in law Josee Pelletier; her grandchildren, Louis A. Ferrus and his wife Nathalie Ferrus, K-Veenah Charles, Marishka Douzable, Chloe Douzable, Brandon Douzable; her greatgrandchildren, Louthaliah Ferrus, Hezaki Ferrus, Leeyah Ferrus; and her siblings Walter Douzable II, Virginie Douzable, and Mimose Douzable.
What we will miss the most about her is her sweet smile and quiet laughter. The many meals she was always making for us and the advice she gave for us to keep forever.
