

Lisi was born Monica Elise Bush in Brunswick Georgia to Celia and Kenneth Bush on October 14th 1965. A graduate of Brunswick High School’s class of 1983, she would later go on to graduate from the University of Georgia (Athens) with Honors in 1988. She married Mario Lindsay Guerrier on October 29th 2006 at the Old Spanish Monastery in North Miami Florida. Lisi worked for the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for 29 years and three months, as she was only 9 months short from retirement when she passed. Her highest position being an Assistant Center Director for the Center of Excellence. Lisi worked several other position with distinction during her service. Her philanthropy included animal rescue causes, recycling and environmental protections, health & wellness, and child protection advocacy. She received the graduation honor Summa Cum Laude from UGA, she radiated top of her class from the Federal Law Enforcement Academy to include their Physical Fitness Award. But with all of her professional accolades, Lisi was most proud of her family...her sons and her granddaughter. Despite her hectic work schedule, she never missed a game, recital, play or significant event.
Lisi is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Bush, grandparents Cecil and Lillian Goins, and her aunt Mary Plyler.
Lisi is survived by her husband Mario Guerrier, her three sons Alex Rodriguez, Dylan Rodriguez, and Andre Guerrier, her mother Celia Bush, Granddaughter Anaya Rodriguez, Cousins Justin Goins, Tom Butler, Uncle Jimmy Goins, numerous in-laws and family members mutually adopted within the Guerrier Family. Best Friends Kemberly Espiet and Larissa Lopez, both bridesmaids during her wedding. Everyone that knew Lisi, loved her. As she would often joke “what’s not to love?”
A private family visitation for Lisi will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33317.
A visitation will occur Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317.
Funeral services will be held on premise immediately following the visitation/viewings from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the CBP Chaplains John Ray and Chaili Gray ministering and John Rico, Assistant Director of Field Operations speaking on behalf of U.S. CBP. Light refreshments: coffee, tea water and soft-drinks will be available.
A celebration of life will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Avenue, Davie, FL 33328. (Adjacent to Sabal Palm Pavillion)
