

On May 1, 1954, Nathaniel Fudge, also known as "Nate," was born in Madison, Florida, to Mary and David Fudge. Nathaniel graduated from Miami Jackson High School. Shortly after graduating high school, he attended Princeton University and earned enough credits for his associate degree. Nathaniel started his career with the Miami Police Department on August 22, 1983. During his time with the Miami Police Dept., he was a part of the Honor Guard Unit. The Honor Guard is an elite unit that serves as the official representative of the Department and the District within Miami-Dade County. After 31 years of service, Nathaniel retired on September 30, 2014. His children remember him as a firm but caring father who encouraged them to pursue their education, goals, and passion and always do the right thing.
Nathaniel was accomplished at photography and loved technology. He often tinkered with computers. Nathaniel also enjoyed a game of bowling and decorating his home during the Christmas holiday. He was an intelligent and loyal individual who loved history and was passionate about learning about the past.
Nathaniel is survived by his mother, Mary Fudge; his son Jeremie N. Fudge and daughter Kimberly R. Miller; his grandson Austin Ford, Jr.; his brother, James D. Fudge Sr., brother Larry Fudge (wife Marilyn Fudge), sister Carmen Webster (husband Wayne Webster), and sister Sabrina Fanord (husband, Ray Fanord).
A visitation for Nathaniel will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Broward Burial and Cremation, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306. A reception will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, 1801 East Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306.
