It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Nayanka Poulard, who left us on January 26, 2026, after a courageous and unwavering battle with breast cancer. A radiant presence in an often dim world, Nayanka lived with a light that touched everyone around her. Her laughter, resilience, and warmth leave behind a legacy that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on January 18, 1988, Nayanka was the devoted wife of Joseph Poulard and the loving mother of Caitlyn and Nathan Poulard. She was the cherished daughter of the late Edouard Marie Blot and Marjorie Lovius Blot, and the loving sister of Soraya Blot and Sankara Blot. She was also a profoundly loved daughter in law to Marielle Leon, and a dear sister in law to Sebastien Leon, Annie Li, and Daniel Smith.
Nayanka was the beloved niece of many supportive aunts and uncles who held her dearly. She was the goddaughter of her uncle Philippe Blot and of Margareth Cator, with whom she shared a special and enduring bond. Raised with immense affection by Anelia Jacques and Rosanie Civil, Nayanka was truly like a daughter to them.
Professionally, Nayanka was dedicated to her work and valued the relationships she built with her colleagues. Her kindness, humor, and steady presence made her a pillar of support and a source of joy within her work family.
Nayanka will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her quick wit, and her rare ability to light up any room she entered. She carried love into every space, nurtured deep connections with family and friends, and faced every challenge with grace and determination. Even in her hardest moments, she never let her circumstances dim her positive spirit.
Above all, Nayanka’s greatest treasures were her children, Caitlyn and Nathan, for whom she fought fiercely until the very end. Her love for them was boundless, and her spirit will continue to live on through their lives.
A visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317, on February 5, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
