

97, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2010 in Milton, WA. Syb was the youngest of 9 and a twin to her brother Norbert (Bud). She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, Loretto Academy, and Hadley Vocational School in St. Louis. Syb married Alvin J. Tight, M.D. in St Louis, June 17, 1937. They settled in Sandusky, OH for many years before they moved to Florida in 1952, where they raised 6 children. Syb quickly became active in the South Florida community. She was highly involved in St Anthony’s Catholic Church and school and part of the original group that worked diligently for funding for what would become Holy Cross Hospital and became a charter member of the hospital Auxiliary. In her later years she was active in the Milton Senior Center and a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Milton, Washington. Syb was the epitome of a supportive wife and caring and loving mother. Her elegance and grace have endeared her to her family and friends’ forever. Syb is survived by her daughter Carol Tight and 5 sons: Bud (Judy), Mike(Barb), Tom(Barbara), Steve(Sharon),and John(Mary) Tight. 12 Grandchildren: John(Kathy), Debbie(Kelly)Crittenberger, Brian(Helena), Stephanie(Andrew)Maddock, Tobi(Joe) Roni, Sue(Justin)McKibben, Tom(Kristen), Tasha(Chris)Vallace, Adam(Alie), Matt(Cheryl), Jacquelyn & John Robert Tight. 29 Great Grandchildren: Tierney, Buddy, Jimmy, Nora, Claire, & Tommy Tight; Jennifer, Jack, Katie, Townsend, Mackenzie, & Ty Crittenberger; Michael & Sarah Tight; Jimmy & Ellie Maddock; Daniella, Michael & Ashley Roni; Alyssa & Cole McKibben; Tommy & Michael Tight; Lauren, Kate, Timmy, Matthew & Mary Grace Vallace; Madison Tight: & triplets due in July. She is also survived by her family in Milton, WA, Julie and Jeff Horschel, as well as several nieces and a nephew. The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 21st from 4-7pm, with a prayer service at 6:30pm, Kraeer Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Hwy.
