Patricia Anne (Winfree) De Matteo, 87, supported by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14, 2015 at home in Cooper City, Florida. She was born on February 27, 1928 in Deland FL to Patrick and Camille Villemayne Winfree. She attended Thomas Edison High School in Miami, Florida where she was valedictorian of the 1946 graduating class. In 1952, she married Joseph P. De Matteo, who predeceased her in 2004. Together, they raised three children – Anne (Paul Bernis), Joseph, Jr. (Millie Perez), and Mary (Frank Martello). She was predeceased by her brother Jules Winfree. She is also survived by her brother, John Winfree, and by seven grandchildren – Ryan, Corey, Anthony, Andrew, Kevin, Frankie, and Gianna. She was a gentle and compassionate soul who was devoted to her family. She will always be loved and missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn South in Davie, Florida on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Davie, Florida. Burial will be on Sunday, December 20, 2015, 2 p.m. at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Deltona FL.
