Patricia “Pat” George

Patricia “Pat” George was born on July 15, 1968, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Wilhelmina and Patrick Liburd. From a young age, Pat was known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith—qualities that would define her throughout her life.

She was a proud graduate of Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, Class of 1989. Driven by a desire to grow and serve with purpose, she went on to pursue higher education at Miami Lakes Technical Institute in Florida, laying the foundation for a life of professional excellence and personal devotion.

On June 20th 1998 she married her beloved husband, Alvin George, and together they raised three beautiful children: Joshua, Alvin Jr., and Jasmine. As partners in life and faith, Pat and Alvin were deeply committed to their church family and the work of Jesus People Ministries. Through service, prayer, and fellowship, Pat supported the mission of the ministry and spreading God’s love to others. Her faith was not just spoken—it was lived daily through her actions, kindness, and the way she uplifted others.

Professionally, Pat dedicated over 30 years to Tropical Shipping Company, where she served faithfully as a Service Coordinator. She approached her role with grace, reliability, and compassion, earning the admiration of her colleagues and leaving a legacy of excellence and integrity.

Pat found great joy in caring for her family and celebrating life’s milestones—whether it was preparing a delicious meal, attending a special event, or simply spending quality time with those she loved. She carried herself with elegance, always taking pride in her appearance and presence. Her laughter, hospitality, and gentle wisdom will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Her deep trust in God gave her strength during life’s challenges and made her a source of peace and encouragement to others. She had a special way of making people feel seen and heard, offering comfort in moments of need and joy in moments of celebration.

On May 8, 2025, at the age of 56, Pat was called home to be with the Lord. Though her time on Earth was shorter than we hoped, her impact was lasting and immeasurable.

Also holding her memory close are her mother and father-in-law, Josephine Philip and Emmanuel Bobb; her brother and sister-in-law, Jardy and Mindy Boyde; Aunt Calixta Loctor, and dear family friends, Gwendolyn McLaurin, Dwight and Margaret Evans.

Pat’s legacy is one of faith, strength, service, and love. She leaves behind a family united by the example she set and a community uplifted by the life she lived.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jesus People Ministries, 4055 NW 183rd St, Miami Gardens, FL 33055 with the funeral following at 11 am till 12 noon also at Jesus People Ministries. A committal service than follow afterwards at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South, 2401 Davie Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317 at 2 PM.
