

Paul Ignatz Sapita, age 74, passed away September 28, 2024. Paul was a loving father, grandpa “Papa”, brother, uncle, godfather and friend. Even though Paul has passed, he will remain in the hearts of many. He was kind, caring, loving, and will always be cherished.
He was born in New Britain, CT on March 24, 1950 and was the son of the late Paul A. Sapita and Ann Sapita (Oskandy). Paul resided in South Florida since 1976. He graduated from University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Also he earned an MBA in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1986. Paul was a natural with numbers and was Controller at Campbell Property Management from August 2008 until his retirement in March 2024. Paul enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved sports, especially college football, UCONN sports, Yankee baseball, playing cards (especially set back), cigar time with his family, traveling, playing guitar, listening to music, the lazy river at the resort and the beach. Paul attended St. Coleman Catholic Church and was an usher and also served on the Finance Council at the church.
Paul was united in marriage with his wife Karen until her death in 2019. He is survived by his daughters; Christa- Marie Sapita and Kara-Ann Sapita, his son; Paul M. Sapita, his cherished grandchildren; Roslynn Hope Sapita and Daltyn Xavier Escarre, his sisters; Nancy Mayette and her husband John, Carol Sadlowski, his brother; Mark, nieces and nephews; Michelle Mayette, Johnny Mayette, Christopher Mayette,Amanda Sadlowski, Anthony Sadlowski, great nieces and nephews; Devin Vasquez, Ava Mayette, Jack Mayette, Mason Mayette, Isabelle Mayette, his in-laws; Dan and Cecelia Baylor, Don and Pam Baylor, Joe Baylor and his dear friend Caroline Kroger.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Kraeer- Fairchild Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Paul’s funeral service will commence on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Coleman Catholic Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:30 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
