Philip R. Connor Jr. Age "75" of Fort Lauderdale passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 after an extended illness. Born in Philadelphia, he had been a local resident for over 20 years. Philip served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, earning many medals including the Purple Heart. Photographer, officer of American Express, owner of Connor Corporation, Real Estate Development builder of condos and townhouses, and owner of Austin Restaurants were some of the many ways Philip impacted his community. As an avid golfer, he was a member of the Coral Ridge Country Club. Other interests included: tennis, flying, traveling, and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Yaffa Connor; by children, Philip Connor III, of New York, Charlotte Balkenbush of Fort Collins,CO, and Jesse Connor of Washington, PA; also by his grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled for 4-5pm with a 5:00pm service, Friday, December 14th, 2007 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 100 S.
