

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Denniver Gauntlett, age 76, who passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and entrepreneur, Denniver’s legacy will live on through his family, his community, and the companies he built.
Denniver was born and raised in Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in 1973, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future. In 1989, he moved to Florida, with his family and Socks the cat where he founded Uni-Source Supply International. His dedication, hard work, and vision transformed his dream of building a flourishing business into reality. Uni-Source continues to thrive and stand as a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance.
He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Dorothy Gauntlett; his daughter Tracie Ann Martone (Robert Martone), son Richard Dayne Gauntlett (Andrea Gauntlett) and his cherished grandchildren, Ella and Savannah Gauntlett. Sisters Marilyn Evelyn (George Evelyn) and Corrine Land (John Land)
Denniver's family was the center of his life, and he took immense pride in his role as a father and grandfather, always providing love, guidance, and wisdom.
Denniver was an avid boater and a member of both Miami Springs Power Boat Club and Coral Reef Yacht Club where he spent many years with so many great people.
Denniver's contributions, both to his family and his community, will be remembered with great affection. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
