Bob was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, Delaware County Community College, and Antioch University, where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Education. He had a distinguished 35-year career as a teacher of Special Education at John Bartram High School in Philadelphia. In addition to several awards from the City and State, Bob was beloved and respected by students and colleagues. He also managed a highly successful jobs program, which secured employment for learning-disabled students.
Bob loved boating and scuba diving, and was an avid marksman and gun collector. He was a faithful husband, honest and loyal to friends and family. He lived life exactly the way he wanted and was never shy about voicing his strong opinions. He loved to say, “We’re living the dream”. This refers to the 13 years in Boca Raton he and his wife Denise of almost 40 years, spent together in Boca Raton after leaving the Philadelphia area in 2008.
Bob leaves his stepdaughter Daniela C. Mead, and his brother Ron.
