

Rose was born in Clarksburg, WV, to John and Thelma Campbell on June 24, 1937. She married Raymond Paul Cupp on May 17, 1958, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Wheeling, WV. Ray was the love of her life, and they were married for 50 years until his death on January 6, 2009. Rose worked various jobs in retail, but her favorite job was being Ray’s wife and mother to her four children, who she loved with all her heart.
Rose is preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Dr. Rae Lynn Cupp. Rose is also preceded in death by seven siblings, brothers Jack, Joe, James, Tom, and Stephen, and by her sisters, Barbara and Mary Ellen.
Rose is survived by one sister, Kathleen Campbell Lamb (Patrick), and by three of her four children: Coleen Marie Miller (Paul), Charles Raymond Cupp (Gina), and John Thomas Cupp (Kimberly). Rose is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Joshua Miller (Lauren), Jacob Miller (Kaneka), Mackenzie Cupp, Madison Cupp Yeager (Joe), Natalie Hanson Hall (Joseph), Alexzander Cupp, Simon Cupp, Lynzee Cupp, Jonathan Cupp, Mylo Cupp, Kathryn Gonzalez, and great granddaughter Skylar. Rose is also survived by too many nieces and nephews to count, all of whom loved their Aunt Rosie dearly.
Funeral services will be held in Charleston, West Virginia at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on June 6, 2026. Rose will be buried at Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston to rest in eternal peace with her husband Raymond and her daughter Rae Lynn.
The family of Rose wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the amazing doctors and nurses at HCA Westside Hospital who took great care of her in her final hours. We also want to acknowledge the care given by Chip, Gina and their whole family who took her into their home and cared for her when she could no longer care for herself.
