Rose B. Guzman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Rose who passed away on October 27, 2022. She bravely battled diabetes and kidney disease for many years. Her strength and determination were a testament to her strong fortitude. She is survived by her three children: Peter, Marie, Rey, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose was born in Puerto Rico and then moved to New York City during the 70’s. She attended college and later married and became a housewife. She became a Crossing Guard for the local school district and later retired.

Rose was known for her tenacious and strong but witty personality. She was a straight shooter who spoke her mind. She loved sharing and giving of herself to help others around her despite her own struggles with illness. Rose was a true patriot always proud to be an American but also showed great pride towards her Hispanic Culture and Heritage. She was a strong believer in the Catholic faith, her hobbies were listening to music and dancing. Rose lived a life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Rose will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317.
