

Ruby Haycinth (Daley) Fort finished her earthly course on March 14, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Mandeville, Jamaica in the Parish of Manchester on July 19, 1922. She is the daughter of the late William Daley and Clemtina Brandford. She was the youngest and last surviving member of nine sibling (six brothers and three sisters) . She was previously married/Divorce from Cisroe Fort. They had two Son's, Michael J. Fort (divorced) of Hartford Connecticut and Jeffrey E. Fort married to Justina W. Fort of Pembroke Pines Florida. Ruby had two grand children Shateika S. Fort, Justin M. Fort and one great grandson, Dominick M. Fort.
In her early years in Jamaica she was a seamstress and entrepreneur with her own shop. Once migrating to the United States she worked multiple jobs and obtain a position as a teachers-aide for the City of Hartford. While in this position she took college classes at the University of Hartford and earning an associate degree . Ruby ending her career as a Para-Professional while single handedly supporting her two sons. She was an active member/administrator of the West Indian Social Club of Hartford Connecticut. After retiring she moved to Florida, where she live out the remainder of her life. She was an active member of Jehovah's witnesses and enjoyed reading and teaching the bible. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. One of her many pleasure were sewing and traveling.
