Sally A McDonnell

A beloved kindergarten teacher, devoted to all her students for over 50 years, Sally retired from the Broward County School District in 2006.

A lifetime committed Catholic, Sally was deeply devoted to her faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Coleman's Parish in Fort Lauderdale.

In addition to decades-long friends in New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida, Sally is survived by and will be profoundly missed by her sisters Marie Daly and Sr. Catherine McDonnell, her brothers Edward and John, sisters-in-law Colleen and Robin, and nieces and nephews Mandy, Kate, Sarah, Alex, Catherine, and Thomas.

Sally was predeceased by her parents Sally and Thomas McDonnell and her brother Tom.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Way or St. Coleman Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 at the KRAEER - FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Sally's Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life will commence at Noon at St. Coleman Catholic Church, 1200 S. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
