At first, hearing the news I didn’t believe it. This is a is more than a tragedy. A good teammate, friend, son, and overall human was taken from this world. Soccer sleep away camp at USF at 10,  you and Sebastian formed together.  Never forget how we felt like crazy people for letting 10 year olds go to a sleep away; but, you boys had a blast and stuck together like brothers.

Breckenridge 2015. You boys were “gansta” snowboarders! You all tossed  snowballs at each other, as you waited for us old folks to come down the hill.

It’s hard to put into words our emotions. He was a gentle, bright soul with so much ahead of him. In his quiet way, he was always looking out for his dad’s happiness, making sure he was okay, even if his dad didn’t realize it. We’ll always remember the laughs, the warmth, and every moment he brought to our lives just by being himself. Timo’s love and the impact he had on all of us will never be forgotten.

Our deepest heartfelt condolences. There are no words that we can convey to console at a time like this. Although we did not personally know Timo, we know how precious he was to his grandmother and his entire family and friends.  Just know he and the Schmidt family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Tim,

This doesn’t even feel real. I remember talking to you about nonsense every day for months in 9th grade. We would FaceTime and talk for hours, no matter what time it was. Even if you were hanging out with your friends, you would make time for me if I needed it. Words can’t describe how shattered I felt when I heard the news. I remember that time you came to my house just to eat and hang out before your soccer practice across my house. You were always there for me, even if we hadn’t talked for months. You would ask me about my family, friends, and even about school. We sent each other TikToks back and forth every single day. I’ll never forget how you would always add those extra letters and emojis in sentences to make me feel better. While reading our text messages, I remembered how you would say, “I’m inviting myself to your house” every time you wanted to hang out before soccer practice. I’ll never forget these memories. You were an amazing person and friend. I wish I could speak to you one last time. Rest in peace, Tim.

I met Tim briefly, once, nearly ten years ago when he was a young boy of eight or nine. My own son Johnny had died suddenly and Tim showed up at the wake to pay his respects. He was polite, shook my hand and became overcome with grief, inconsolable really.  He lost his friend you see, and his emotions freely flowed out that night among the many well-wishers, more than any other.  It was such a touching moment. I thanked him for coming and for being a friend. It meant so much to me that this boy showed courage and respect, and I can still picture the scene, clear as day. I will never forget that one grand gesture of such a compassionate person. Ever. Rest in peace Tim.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to the Schmidt family. We cannot comprehend what you are going through over the senseless, tragic loss of  Timothy.

It was only yesterday when we contemplated those little kids playing in the flooded fields in a rainy afternoon. We laughed looking at them full of life and joy as proud parents. 

Later, when they were growing, I remember, Timo, left defense, quite but fast and highly skilled making 360o plays and  leaving midfielders spread out on the field asking who was him.  He was the type of player that worked hard to improve every day. The one that you want in your team. Every time I talked to him you can tell he was reserved but he will tell you something funny in few words without hesitating. 

Last time I saw him, he was an adult already. Ready to shine at college and live his life as every young man of his age. 

Last Friday, we all lost a kid, we all mourn a kid and we all pray for Timo and his family.

Tim father, only God knows the Why. I pray He help you understand this one day and provide you the peace and consolation you need now. 🙏

Timo’s my little cousin, we grew up together for many years. We had so many beautiful memories, that are engraved in my heart. Every family gathering especially during Christmas time was the best, I remember we would either be gathered up in his room playing video games, or we would be running around the house playing tag, nerf battles, or being silly dancing to Gangnam Style, lol, but it was never a dull moment with him. Timo is such a goofball, he always knew how to make someone laugh. And when it came to soccer he was so competitive it’s unbelievable. I remember I would go into his room and the first thing I saw were his millions of trophies! I didn’t think the last time I saw him would be the last time I would hear his voice. I want to say sorry to Lina and Tim and also his stepmom, Michelle for their loss of a son and a best friend. Our family is in terrible pain, but we all know that Timo is in heaven watching down upon us, guiding us, and playing soccer! We love you Timo with all our hearts and your memories and name will never be forgotten primito!❤️🪽

I remember the first time i met timo i was in 7th grade and he was in 9th, I went to soccer rinks in regional to play and i didnt have a team, as soon as timo saw me he picked me up and we clicked playing countless times and when i got into cypress we became even more friends. First time he was a ref for one of my games we would laugh he was saw he would give me calls and make jokes. I remember lunches with timo and even some classes there was never a bad moment he was just a very funny person. Last time i played soccer with timo before he moved he told me to keep one of the soccer balls and that when he would come down from orlando we would use it again. Im going to miss him a lot.
