He was born on June 12, 1942, in Kingston, Jamaica, to Bechie and Maudline Williams. The fifth of ten children, Wilfred grew up in a lively, close-knit household. He attended Denham Town Primary School and later learned his trade at Ramdial Engineering.
At the age of 19, Wilfred moved to London, England, where he began work as a machinist. After thirteen years, he relocated to Canada and continued his work in this profession. In 1977, he married Hannah (née Ramsammy), and together they had three beautiful daughters. In 1985, they moved to Brooklyn, New York, where they welcomed their son. Eventually, the family settled in South Florida, drawn by the warmth of a Caribbean-like climate that reminded Wilfred of home.
Wilfred worked for many years at Active Autowerke, where he was a valued mechanic altering high-performance BMWs for racing. He was an integral part of their company. He found joy in spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, and attending church. A man of deep faith, Wilfred served as a deacon, usher, and volunteer in many of the churches he was part of throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah; his children Monique, Candace, Michelle, and Robert; his grandchildren Leah, Jessica, Tristan, Aaron, Jenna, and Justin; and his sisters Rosella, Pearline, Katie, and Judy.
Wilfred's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who called, visited, sent gifts, and offered love and support during this time.
