When he lived in New York he owned and operated a variety store. He enjoyed photography and had photographed many well-known people. He used to work for the Lee County School Board and more recently, a local resort.
Asheek is survived by his children: Omar Shahib, Shafraz Shahib and Azizi Shahib, 6 sisters, 3 brothers and his former wife, Dolly Shahib. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Jamila Foo and Bibi Zabeeda Beharry and brothers: Majeed Shahib and Randolph Shahib.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 24th from 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11am.
